Après une première mondiale au Festival du film SXSW d'Austin, les premières réactions concernant le film Us du cinéaste Jordan Peele sont plus que positives.
Rappelons que le réalisateur avait créé la surprise avec son précédent projet, Get Out, qui a récolté quatre nominations majeures aux Oscars et remporté celui du meilleur scénario original.
Le voilà donc qui récidive avec Us, le récit d'une famille dont les vacances tournent au cauchemar lorsqu'un groupe de sosies commence à les terroriser. La bande-annonce à elle seule suffit à donner de grands frissons.
Les premières critiques qui ont fait leur apparition sur les réseaux sociaux à propos du film Us parlent d'un « chef-d'oeuvre de l'horreur » et soulignent l'excellence de la performance de Lupita Nyong'o qui pourrait bien se retrouver aux Oscars. On parle d'un film hautement anxiogène et pertinent.
